Letter from the CEO

It was overwhelming when I started to inspire others because of my hijab. I knew they wanted to do it but they weren’t ready for it yet. I got a few hijabs and gifted my friends and to my surprise, I saw them wear it the next day in college and they’re confident in it. I was overwhelmed and realised how much of a difference it can make if somebody found a correct piece of cloth for them to wear that they would feel confident in. 

There I went, with my first ever booth at a college hoping to inspire people find their perfect hijabs that suited their personality. A hijab that was comfortable for all the hours we spent outside in heat, a hijab that was affordable and made them feel beautiful. I took that up a notch from there after much recognition from different women from different colleges. 

I began to study religion then and religiously started preaching the importance of hijab and how we could possibly overcome any hurdles in our way towards this journey, for anybody who was willing to start it out but couldn’t. American Muslim women are very well read and well learn over this domain yet there’s a hesitance sometimes to begin the journey. We, at Concealed Muslimah now aim towards making these women feel confident about their hijab and help them throughout this journey of their life. We also aim to inspire other women through our platform so we could all grow together as strong Muslimahs. Hijab is not only a little piece of clothing for the head but a proper concealment of body.
