There are several different types of hijabs that are worn by Muslim women for religious and cultural reasons. Some common types include:

  1. Shayla: The shayla is a long, rectangular scarf that is wrapped around the head and usually pinned at the shoulder.
  2. Al-Amira: This is a two-piece hijab consisting of a fitted cap that covers the head, and a tube-like scarf that is worn on top of it.
  3. Khimar: A khimar is a cape-like hijab that covers the torso, shoulders, and hair, typically reaching to the waist or hips.
  4. Niqab: A niqab is a face veil that covers the entire face except for the eyes. It is often worn in combination with a loose-fitting garment that covers the whole body.
  5. Chador: The chador is a long, full-body cloak that covers the entire body from head to toe, leaving the face exposed.
  6. Burqa/ Abaya: A burqa is a full-body covering that includes a mesh screen to cover the face completely.
  7. Dupatta: The dupatta is a long scarf that is draped over the shoulders and chest, often used as a hijab in South Asia.

These are just a few examples of the different types of hijabs that are worn worldwide. The style and type of hijab can vary based on personal preference, cultural traditions, and regional influences.

Next are the list of Hijab styles:

  • Maxi: These hijabs are longer in length. So, it’s great for a layered look and chest coverage. 
  • Short-wrap: These hijabs are shorter in length and easy to style as you have less fabric to deal with. These are great for younger girls around the age of 8-10 years.
  • Instant: These hijabs are pre-stitched and easy to wear. You can just slip it over your head and you are ready to go. 
  • Effortless: These hijabs have a buttery soft fabric that literally makes them glide over your shoulders with a gorgeous fall. Then are maxi-sized (plus sized) for a perfect coverage.
  • Crimpled: These are textured hijabs that give you a trendy look. The texture on the hijab adds volume to your hijab look and make them iron-free and non-slip to wear.
  • Pleated: These hijabs are perfect for an elegant, sophisticated look for a fancy lunch out. They are super breathable and chic to wear.
  • Printed: If you don’t want to be basic, you can opt for printed hijabs. There are many different prints that are available in our store under the category of “Printed Era”.
  • Ombre: Ombre hijabs are double or triple shaded hijabs. These look amazing when wrapped around the head.
  • Silk: These are formal category of hijabs that look beyond gorgeous when worn. They do however, need a hijab pin or a magnet to hold them in place all day long.
